Abstract

Cyanotoxins are the hazard for human health when enter human organism with drinking water. Therefore, the control both of abundance of toxic bacteria in water intake place and of effectiveness of drinking water purification from cyanobacteria and their toxins is very important. The description of alert levels of water contamination by cyanotoxins and monitoring programs of water reservoirs depending on cyanobacteria abundance in water reservoir is given in this work. The review of physical, chemical and biological methods for decrease of cyanobacteria in water reservoirs is represented. Methods of removing cyanotoxins from drinking water are considered.
