The dynamics of dust storms in the territory of Khuzestan (southwest Iran) at the beginning of the 21st century

Dust storms leading to the deterioration of environmental conditions are considered in the territory of Khuzestan in the period 2000-2012 yrs. It is shown that most dust storms have external origin, their duration is usually not more than 4 days, the horizontal visibility from 500 to 1000m. The example of the detection of foci of dust storms by radar is presented.
