Analysis of the dynamics of morphometric parameters of protected lakes of the Republic of Tatarstan

The nature protection status of water bodies in the form of nature monuments of regional importance does not prevent their degradation due to the negative wagging of anthropogenic activity. Analysis of different cartographic data for the last 76 years has shown a tendency to reduce the water area of 16 of the 32 lakes-natural monuments of the Republic of Tatarstan. At the same time, six lakes lost from 53 to 81% of the water surface and, if the rate of anthropogenic load is maintained, their complete disappearance is predicted. To preserve unique water bodies, urgent measures are needed to protect and optimize their use.
